This
section, along with the Nightlife calendar (see NIGHTLIFE
section), will provide information regarding some of the events
that you can look forward to, making your stay an unforgettable
experience!
Four events you can definitely look forward to include: BBQ
Saturdays, Cabarete Race Week, Kiteboard World Championships
2002 and the mid-winter Sand Castle Competition. More events
will be added soon!

SATURDAY
BBQs:
Every Saturday, the Highwind Center hosts the biggest
BBQ in town.. with great music, a lively atmosphere,
and LOTS of great food! From veggies to pasta salads
to chicken and beef - we've got something for every

KITEBOARDING
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, June 2000, 20012003:
Cabarete already hosted 4times the Kiteboarding World
Championship. All of the world's best met here in Cabarete.

CABARETE
SAND CASTLE COMPETITION:
Every year towards the end of February, Cabarete hosts
a sand castle competition; on the "Castillos de
Arena" weekend, bring your camera to the beach
to witness the building (and eventual smashing) of these
