Cabarete - how to get here

Fly directly into Puerto Plata Airport (airport code: POP). We do not recommend flying to Santo Domingo or Punta Cana Airports.

Once you are outside the airport you will find many porters eager to help you with your baggage for a small tip. Two US dollars or 70 pesos is a good tip, or insist that they not pick up your bags. You will not need to pay any money at customs. Most accommodations are about a 20 minute drive from the Puerto Plata Airport. If you have a pre-booked transfer you will be picked up at the airport by Jessica (aussie princess). Otherwise we suggest that you use taxi service to reach your hotel. Taxis are currently about 1000 Rd, or US$ 30.- each way.
