Hola Sailors,

it’s about time to give you an update from Cabarete. january had been a mixed month with lot’s of rain to begin with as well as some really windy days , one day we had 34 kn + and huge swell . As well did we get one of the biggest days ever with easy mast and a half high+ on the reef. Only a few ventured to the outside to ride some massive swell .

Our SUP Boards are getting a good use in the morning as Cabarete offers calm mornings with light wind for the beginner but as well great waves on the reef to be caught with our Starboard SUP’s in sizes from 9′0″ - 12′6″ . Some even dare to do some downwinders to Kitebeach or even further to Playa Encuentro .

Cabarete will host the 8th Masteroftheocean competition from the 23rd of feb to the 1st of March , at the moment we are hosting the Kiteboarding4Kids event , and next week end we will have a surf competition at Playa Encuentro the best surf spot in the Dominican republic.
